About

It started with a turntable.

I got my first one when I was 11. Music quickly became more than something I listened to. I started DJing, got to know people in the industry and became just as interested in everything around the music, the artwork, posters, identities and the way an artist presents themselves.

At 15, I played my first club show.

And somewhere between designing things and playing tracks, I realised I didn't really want to choose between the two.

So I didn't.

For three years I worked on out-of-home campaigns for brands including Basic-Fit, Netflix and M-Line. Later I started PIEN.DESIGN and moved into branding, digital campaigns and packaging working on projects for AVIS, ByKay, Rolled, Het Kookeiland, Nero Menswear, UltraDrain and currently Rituals.

Meanwhile, I'm still making music and DJing.

Turns out the two worlds work pretty well together.
